Departmental PSI Police Sub Inspector Exam 2022

Departmental PSI Exam also known as ખાતાકીય પરીક્ષા in Gujarat which is only for candidates who are working in Gujarat Police. This exam is not conducting in regular basis and its only for department’s current personnel, common candidates / students are not allowed to apply. This exam is conducted by Gujarat Gaun Seva Pasandgi Mandal (Gujarat State Subordinate Selection Board – GSSSB).

Eligibility for Departmental PSI

• Who has served for 3 years as Assistant Sub Inspector ASI (Unarmed) or Head Constable (Unarmed) Class III OR Served for 15 or more years as Unarmed ASI / Head Constable cadre.
• Eligibility also depended as per Gujarat Government’s Notification જીજી/જીયુજે/૭૮/૨૦૧૪/એમએચકે/૧૦૨૦૧૪/૧૭૨૮/સી
• Basic Computer Knowledge required (As per Gujarat Civil Services Tribunal Computer Efficiency Training and Exam Rules, 2006)
• Candidate must be 12th or 11th (Old SSC) or equivalent

Departmental Exam Pattern

There are two stages in Dpeartmental / Khatakiya PSI Exam 1. Physical Test, 2. Written Test.

Physical Test for Departmental PSI Exam

• Physical exam / Physical fitness test is only screening test, there are no marking system for this test.
• Candidates must present in physical test with medically fit certificate from registered medical practitioner.

Written Exam for Departmental PSI Exam

• Written test for Departmental PSI exam will be conducted in two parts
  • Part 1: Objective type test (MCQs)
  • Part 2: Descriptive type test
• Only physical test passed candidates are allowed in objective type test.
• Only those candidates are allowed in descriptive test who has get minimum marks which are decided by respected board (i.e. GSSSB or Gujarat Police Recruitment Board).
  • Normally, total vacancies x 5 candidates are called for descriptive / main written examination.
